According to WWE, the upcoming two-day affair at the Los Angeles Rams’ and Los Angeles Chargers’ SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, has beaten the previous record set by the older record holder, 2016’s WrestleMania 32, which was headlined by Triple H and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. As the first in-person WrestleMania that won’t be affected by the world-stopping COVID-19 pandemic, WrestleMania 39 was always meant to be huge. But, no one had expected this to happen - and so soon! It’s the highest WrestleMania gate ever and we still don’t know who are going to be at WrestleMania 39. It’s an impressive feat that should encourage Triple H to pull out all of the stops. But, that’s not all. The record-setting gate numbers for WrestleMania 39 also comes after the WWE enjoyed the highest-grossing gates for multiple events last year, including Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and WWE Extreme Rules. Clash at the Castle was also the highest-grossing U.K event in WWE history, a positive sign that WWE might not take 30 years to come back to the U.K. With this year’s Royal Rumble scheduled for January 28, the hype for WrestleMania has yet to reach fever pitch. Hopefully, Vince McMahon’s return won’t mar the momentum. At the moment, stars that are expected to wrestle at WrestleMania 39 include The Rock, Roman Reigns, Stone Cold, Cody Rhodes, and some are saying Goldberg could be a part of it as well.
